Beauty Cosmetics Holiday Travel Brush Set Review

Finally I've decided to post a review about my favorite brush set. This is the Holiday Collection Travel Brush set from Beauty Cosmetics, I will admit that this was another compulsive purchase, but one that I will never regret! Last November I was in Tiendesitas area for my appointment with my dermatologist, I arrived 1 hour ahead of schedule so I decided to wander around the newly renovated stores in Tiendesitas. I know that Beauty Cosmetics has a store there but I didn't plan to buy anything although I've been wanting to have their Face Perfection Brush Set. I went to check out the face perfection brushes unfortunately they don't have stocks, only the holiday collection and other individual brushes are displayed there. After several minutes of contemplating, I decided to buy the Travel Brush Set in purple and went to proceed with my facial session. :)

The set comes with  five face brushes: The powder brush, round buffing brush, angled brush, foundation brush and concealer brush.

Aside from the face brush, the set comes with eye brushes: The bend eyeliner brush, lip brush, angled brow brush, angled shader brush, fluffy eyeshadow brush, bullet brush and tapered blending brush.

Here is the one by one review of each brush.

Powder Brush
This brush is really soft and not scratchy, I usually use it with my loose powder and barely use it with my compact powder (I prefer to use a brush than a sponge.) The only problem with this brush is that it is not dense enough.

Round Buffing Brush
This is my favorite brush from the whole set, it is dense and it is perfect for buffing powder onto the face to give a perfect smooth finish.

Angled Blush Brush
This brush is perfect for applying blush and bronzer. If you are a fan of contouring then this brush will work out well for you.

Foundation Brush
This one is dense but not stiff, I was able to blend my foundation without leaving streak of foundation on my face.

Concealer Brush
This is good if you want to conceal marks on your face, but I find it big to use under eye to cover my eye bags so I still prefer my smaller Virginia Olsen concealer brush to use under my eyes.

Tapered Blending Brush
This is my second favorite brush from the set, I like how fluffy it is and I love it every time it glides smoothly on my eyelids.

Bullet Brush
This one is perfect for shading the outer corner of your eyelids, sometimes I use it as a blending brush too.

Eyeshadow Brush
This is a medium sized eyeshadow brush, when using it to apply eyeshadow make sure that you shake it off first before you  apply it on the eyelid, because it has the tendency to get too much eyeshadow.

Angled Shader Brush
I typically use this brush to apply eyeshadow on my crease because its angled form makes it easier to slide up and down my eye crease.

Angled Brow Brush
I find this brush too big to actually use it to fill my eyebrows. It is half size bigger than the usual angled brow brush and it is thicker too.

Lip Brush
I rarely use this one because I usually apply my lipstick straight from the stick. But every time I want a fully defined lips then this brush is my bestfriend.

Bended Eyeliner Brush
I honestly haven't tried using this brush because my liquid eyeliner comes with a good brush. It is the only one that is normally untouched every time I do my make up, but I hope I will have the heart to try using this brush soon.

I love this brush set because it is soft and does not shed when I wash it, and I love it more because it is really handy. This travel brush set is on the top of my Beauty-on-the-go list because it gives me the ease to bring it anywhere I want since it is light, and does not occupy much space on my bag. I bought this for Php. 1100 and it is one of the worth-it-no-regret-purchase of my life. So if you are one of the beauty on the go girls out there then you should try a travel brush set like this, so you can be beautiful anywhere and anytime you want ;)

Essence Get BIG Lashes Volume Boost Mascara Review

Hello Girls I am back! Whew it's been a while since I last posted on this blog because busy is an understatement in my situation, it's like 24 hours is not enough to do all the things that you need to do! Well I still have a large pile of school works but I really miss blogging, and I can't help but to write some product review. So for my come back I will give you a review of my recently purchased mascara. It is the

Okay so to start off my review let me give you two things that you need to know first about this product for you to make an initial decision if it is this mascara is yay or nay.

Price: Php. 169.00
Mascara Type :  Volumizer / Not Waterproof

Looking at the price this mascara is budget friendly because it is really affordable, most good mascaras are priced Php. 300+ and the "better" (well not exactly, some are just over-hyped because of the brand) ones are usually priced Php. 700+ . Essence get Big lashes is half the price or even 1/4 of the other mascaras but it doesn't mean it is behind performance compared to them, in fact I loved this mascara because I get double of what I paid for.

The name itself shows that this is a volumizer mascara, it makes your lashes look thick and fuller. Some of you might be disappointed that this mascara is not waterproof, but don't worry girls because this has a waterproof counterpart! The waterproof one looks like the picture above but the bottle is blue.  Most girls want a waterproof mascara but I don't! I prefer non-waterproof because it is easier to remove unlike the waterproof mascaras that I have had before. For me it's a taxing job to remove waterproof mascaras because most of the time I see 1 or 2 lashes that are also removed in the process.

This is how the wand looks like, it is a jumbo wand and is perfect to give you full and thick lashes. The bad thing about this wand is that it makes it hard for me to reach my outer lashes.

This is how the mascara looks like when applied, with proper application it will not clamp and will give you the bold eyes that you wanted, it adds a little length as well.

The VERDICT:

Essence get BIG LASHES Volume Boost Mascara is perfect if you are looking for a really affordable but not junkie mascara. For me it is a good mascara, for a price like that it really does a great job so it deserves 4 stars!
